I like the open world addition because I never use guides/wiki, gets a lot more out of slow replays. PvP is still very active. Plenty of variety in invasions. Seeing my spouse play thru is interesting, even early on there is a lot of shit I completely missed. It seems there are a lot of spells in the game

From is pissing everyone off they should listen to me and make a Bloodborne sequel that has an open world looking like Half Life Xen with sad aliens in it. Then add Bloodtinge to Elden Ring 2. Then completely stop making Soulslikes & focus on Armored Core. I digress but give it another go because the online is very much alive 🤺🔫🧙‍♂️

This is kind of a spoiler but they brought the Catalyst of the Beast back in a new form

If I didn't delete DS1, I'd go for ER next personally too. The open world was cool for a first playthrough, but after that it's just a slog to navigate through in my experience.

Also, feel free to make a separate post to ask for players for Nightreign or check out our Discord/Matrix channels to find people to play with. The communities aren't huge, but there's a couple people playing on different platforms - maybe you'll find someone to play. :)
