The vehicle information-screen tells me to use the HondaLink phone app to disable data sharing. The HondaLink Android app tells me to use the vehicle's information-screen's onboard settings in order to disable data sharing. #whichIsIt #enshittification #dataParasitism
Ugh. What year car is that? (Or... how old a Honda do I need to buy to avoid this nonsense?)
This is a 2026 CR-V Hybrid. I was able to disable data collection by first using the app to remove a specific service to which they subscribed me and for which I was not yet supposed to be charged but, oh well.
