Make the community be able to vote kick or vote for new Moderators although that would maybe just make the circlejerking even worse

Modlog for all actions including every single ban and the conversation about it and a way for a user to report mod abuse to admins.

Atleast you can register to another instance and still interact as usual. Or if the admin is being obnoxious, defederate.

Mods escape all accountability.
