Elaine too - but yeah, Seinfeld is just a wet-blanket foil for his zaney, actually funny friends.

Jason Alexander's politics are, if anything, worse than Seinfeld's. Which is amazing given that Seinfeld is both into genocide and a big "Oh noes the woke are coming for comedy" guy.

That's kind of the point of the show. The titular character is a stand-up comedian, but he's a fucking terrible one. Art imitating life, and antics ensue. Same premise as It's Always Sunny, really.
