I really don't think it matters what the general person in the west thinks lol. It's never mattered before. It's not like the US hasn't killed millions of innocent people over the last few decades. The only thing thats going to stop that is when other countries can fight back. Like Iran is now. There is no timeline where the typical American rises up and demands their government stops murdering people in the numbers needed to actually force a change.
I agree it's unlikely any time soon. but you really think there's no limit to how bad US material conditions can get and still no meaningful pushback?
Maybe by that time there won't be anything we can call an ""American government"" so you win again
Yes. The Imperial core will never pursue peace. It will never voluntarily end imperialism. The US material conditions worsening will only accelerate its decline into fascism. Socialism will not grow from the poisoned soil of the imperial core. It will grow from the global south and eventually spread into the remains of the core after it has collapsed.
