I'm new to the community and don't know whether it's reasonable to ask this or not, so here goes: what is the affordable titanium GMT and what is the typical microbrand watch formula? In other words, is it acceptable for a community member like me or anyone else to ask for an excerpt to be included in the post directly, so that I wouldn't need to click the link? Genuine question, not trying to be passive aggressive or anything, apologies if it came out this way

We are friendly community! No gate keeping (swish movement or ban) or tell you "you should already knew, we don't do that here, the newbie's and questions" (went extra mile loool).

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time, a time standard established in 1884 during the International Meridian Conference. GMT is used to display multiple time zones in a watch. Expensive watches use to have this feature, but as the year pass by, you can find it more in watches, especially in micro-brands.

Micro-brands, are small watchmaking companies that most of the time are cheaper and have a Japanese/Chinese mechanisms on them. Its all manufactured, hence the microbrand watch formula. Instead of buying a rolex GMT, you can buy an affordable micro-brand GMT, with a way better design.(Please correct me If I'm wrong)

Thanks a lot! I'm curious about those micro-brands and how to deal with their watches over a long period of time (say, 20 years), if there's a risk they go out of business or just completely drop the old stock. I guess the brand can be micro, but the price is not guaranteed to also be micro, right? :D Anyways, thanks a lot again for the explanation 🙏

The thing is, as far as I know, people where meh/judgey about microbrands (if not Swiss..), but in the end it became part of the watch community. Microbrands may start with Japanese/Chinese movements, but if they go well, they tend to include Swiwss movements too (like Yema and Baltic).
In general, they are not Patek Philippe, but for a €€€, you can get a pretty nice watch that will hold for many years.
