I don't just think so, I showed you the evidence of population collapse in Ukraine after 1990 due to impoverishment, lack of jobs, shortages, inflation, drug abuse, alcoholism, petty and organized crime, lack of healthcare and suicide. Ukrainians have been in danger for 35 years as a consequence of western intervention, you only know about the last 4 years because it's suddenly those evil Russians hurting Ukrainians.

You're mistaken about that. Ukraine was its own republic with its own political representation, its own official language, its own industry, its own peasant collectives, and both Khruschyov and Brezhnev were of Ukrainian origin.
