I must admit I do not know Bernie's policies in great detail. What I wanted to say that is that countries with national healthcare, free schooling, paid maternity, sick time, vacation days and such being the law I would refer to being left of Bernie because the status quo in USA is so much to the right.

Even in countries where all of this is provided by the state, being able to afford roof over your head is still a big challenge.
