Not really sure I learned anything from Number Muncher. TBH, I didn't even learn what dysentery was until much later in life.

However, I did learn that convincing my mom Space Quest was educational was a good was to game the system.

Yeah, yeah everybody complains about math not being pertinent to daily life. But the fact is that practicing basic math skills early is crucial to being able to do simple math quickly in your head later in life, to the point where you might not even realize how much you benefited from it because that level of math is too easy for you to consider what it took to get there. I'll give you the Oregon Trail thing though. I always felt like that game was more meant for middle schoolers then 4th graders.
