What's your loan:value ratio on your mortgage?

[-] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

There's no interest, it's a Habitat for Humanity mortgage.

[-] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Sure. But then you really shouldn't be stating that without some hefty disclaimers. Your situation isn't really useful to guide anyone, unless they themselves go down the Habitat for Humanity path, which you didn't advise them to do.

High down payment? Or crack house? Lol

$700 down payment. There's no interest, it's a Habitat for Humanity mortgage.

Oh lol that's awesome!

After you add property taxes and home insurance what’s your payement? You pay that yearly or monthly so it’s disingenuous not to count it

[-] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 weeks ago

Does that mean people should include their renters insurance when they're listing their rent?

Is it included in their rent payment like your home insurance is in your mortgage payment?

[-] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 weeks ago

Not every mortgage payment includes home insurance in it.

Is renters insurance "required" where you live? If yes, then yes, you definitely include it. If not, then no.

That's the whole payment, all that included. There's no interest, no property tax, it's a Habitat for Humanity mortgage.
