The gulf states actually had been doing a pretty good job of keeping thier front porch clean. The US and Israel are fucking this up for them.
Saudi withdrew permission for the US to use thier airspace for Operation Freedom. They want to go back to the status quo: US fucks off, and they maintain peace with Iran through thongs like diplomacy. Nobody in the region except Israel is providing anything more than minimal and token cooperation.
It's wierd to talk about the gulf states not keeping thier front porch clean when they had been... and someone sailed across the planet to drop a flaming pile of shit on thier doorstep.
