(lemmy.ca)
Linux Mint is a free Linux-based operating system designed for use on desktop and laptop computers.

Are you trying to install Linux Mint, the operating system, or trying to install a particular program on Linux Mint? If it's a particular program, what is it?
They're trying to install Da Vinci Resolve, I think. This is cross posted from that community.
Davinci Resolve on Linux Mint. Sorry, I thought crossposting which state that. lol. I should have read the crosspost better.
I remember it being a pain to install on Mint or Ubuntu, some years ago (probably when they first made a Linux version available).
I did definitely eventually get it running, but found it a bit underwhelming compared to Kdenlive, so haven't really bothered trying it more recently.
There's a script which apparently converts the installer into one more compatible with Debian/Ubuntu/Mint, which may work.
I've not tried it myself, so at your own risk:

Might be worth a try with this?
Kdenlive looks so much better!!! Thank you!!!
A good "plan B" :)
I've used Kdenlive for years, so ask if you have any questions - though I'm unsure where to ask - I'm not sure if there's a "Linux Video Editing", "Linux Creative Software" or "Kdenlive" specific bit of Lemmy. Anyway, if you have a question, put it somewhere it will be found :)
[Edit] There are both Kdenlive and Linux Video Editing communities :)
