I played Elden Ring and it quickly became my favorite video game. I still watch lore videos on youtube and it's been more than a year since I played the game. I played Sekiro later and adored it for both the gameplay and lore. I want to get into darksouls, and I'm pretty lore-oriented. Do I need to start from DS1 or can I jump into DS3? Would love any thoughts. Thanks!

I wasn't kidding. I did the same but for Dark Souls.
I quit an hour into the first King's Field game. Not required reading, those games, and they were before Miyazaki anyway.

I mean, I was kidding. But also I read all of Berserk because of Dark Souls 1. You are going to enjoy so many easter eggs.

Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
