I'm glad the city is at least trying to do something. I wish they would focus more on building traffic calming and separate infrastructure for cyclist and pedestrians. Rather than giving cops money and changing the speed limits.

Changing speeds and signs is a quick measure.

If properly staged, the data from vehicles speeding on these speed adjusted routes can prioritize works for traffic calming the others.

Thays how my city did it. Dropped the speeds, then prioritized a limited traffic calming budget based on where cars slowed down the least.
