Not really familiar at all with Dzogchen; fellow lemmings, what do you think about this article?

tricycle dot org is a fundamentally flawed concept.

It brings together two great schools of thought –

  • Buddhism
  • Clickbait

and they're fundamentally incompatible.

Tricycle has things like pop-ups to get you to subscribe to a mailing list, misleading titles that misrepresent the article (like this one) (which inherently breaks the 4th precept), and appeals to shock value.

The point of the article is "don't clench too much, don't overexert effort", which is a key part of meditation, something that every meditator is familiar with. It's like the Sona Sutta thing about the guitar string with not too much tension nor too little.

Then they've used the stupid and wrong wording that not over-efforting means 'not meditating' to try and boost their pay-per-mille ad revenue.
