Coding After Coders: The End of Computer Programming as We Know It
(www.nytimes.com)
This is a most excellent place for technology news and articles.
So much cope. Everyone is in denial. It strikes deep, I know.
Ignoring the truth won’t help you deal with it though.
As in: you agree with the article’s assertion?
I don’t write code anymore. No one I work with does either.
Same here. None of my coworkers write code.
But then again, I'm a truck driver.
I work with a lot of productive software developers. They all write code. They also leverage AI to do all the boring stuff.
They’re wasting time cause the AI can also do the non-boring stuff.
Trust me… it’s getting better, but it can’t do the non-boring stuff in a way that’s ISO compliant. Yet.
Tell it what ISO compliant is
Sure, for basic projects if you don't value security or efficiency.
Or long term maintainability.
maybe you and your colleagues shouldn't be writing code...?
you have chosen a valid solution to the problem. congratulations.
I agree. No one should be writing code anymore. Management will soon fire everyone who still writes code cause they’re slow. And, everyone resistant to AI will also be fired.
lol. good luck, man.
