Not a fan of cabbage, so I always thought I'd hate these, but a friend made me try one once, and now they're one of my favorite foods.
There's a place in northern Minnesota my wife and I visit for our anniversary that makes one on cranberry wild rice bread, and it's one of the best things I've ever eaten.
Sauerkraut is cabbage elevated to a new type of food group
Pour one out for all the homeys who got botulism so that we could have fermented things 🍻
Damn I go to northern MN at least once a year and I would love to try this!
If you're ever in the Castle Danger area, it's the Rustic Inn Cafe, just a few minutes north of Betty's Pies.
Awesome, good to know, thanks! I've driven past it many times but never stopped to try them out!
I'd highly recommend them. Their pies are really good too - the cream pies have a meringue crust that I've never seen anywhere else, and it's delicious! They've got long wait times, though. My wife and I usually stay at the cabins across the street, so we'll get our names on the list, go back to the cabin for a half hour, then come back, haha!
