GNOME's dependence on systemd grows, Artix drops support for DE

Just don't like it. There's nothing inherently wrong with it but you won't catch me using it. If I was personally more invested in GNOME then I'd put some effort into getting it to work on Artix. But alas, that's got to be someone else's cross to bear.
I used to use gnome, but I moved to XFCE when switching to Artix last year. I must say I think I like it better. I still get to use a convenient desktop that looks GNOME-ish, uses GTK, has a bunch of theme options, and is a lot more lightweight than GNOME without requiring systemd. It seems like the best of possible worlds at present, although I've wanted to try out a tiling window manager like dwm for fun. I'm not sure I'd be able to get used to/comfortable with using one as a daily driver though.
