    Kings don’t have jobs, mate.

I mean, most kings throughout history didn't have access to unlimited music from all time at their fingertips with Spotify or unlimited videos from all eras with Youtube, they didn't have instant planetary scale messaging or the ability to go down the road and get food from a massive variety of restaurants offering a massive variety of foods made for them on a whim, they also didn't have so many other things, pretty sure the chair I'm sitting on is probably comfier than the one they sat on as well... I'll call it even :P

    I live in Scotland!

That's rough but you guys make some pretty good music, Rebelion, Boards of Canada from Edinburgh, Sleep Research Facility from Glasgow, lots of ambient producers from Scotland

Why are you comparing your life to historical kings, while there are still rulers in our modern era, who have access to all of the same modern conveniences as you do, alongside all of the overwhelming advantages of being a member of the ruling class, never having to work a day in their lives, exploiting you?

Why are you comparing your life to historical kings

Because it's metaphorical not literal, I don't sit on a golden throne either or attend ceremonies opening bridges or cut ribbons and get my face splashed across your garbage UK newspapers

It sounds to me like you live a comfortable life, which I'm glad to hear, but surely you must see some of the problems reflected around you in society, even if you don't personally experience them? Don't you see public services struggling under austerity, or people in your community who struggle to make ends meet, despite working hard? Does that stuff just not bother you at all? No judgment here, it's okay if the answer is no, I'm just genuinely curious.

Not really, my local public services are ok

    They're expanding our local hospital:

They're also expanding our train network massively:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn3mOQIUuCk

Our public transport use is up significantly since they introduced 50c faires:

Queenslanders will pay 50 cents for each trip on a train, bus, ferry and light rail from August 5 — for any distance and in any direction

    Life is good :)

You know what would be better than advocating for communism 😅 try getting a skill listed here and move to Australia:

"Every single building and construction trade is actually deemed in shortage at the moment,"

^ construction workers in particular earn shitloads and live like kings

It sounds like you're just sheltered from the reality, because the statistics tell another story entirely:

I'd encourage you to get out and spend some time in your local community, get to know your neighbours and their struggles, maybe you'll see things from a different perspective.

    🤣

Thank you for ignoring everything I said, sometimes I wonder why I bother

I’d encourage you to get out and spend some time in your local community, get to know your neighbours and their struggles, maybe you’ll see things from a different perspective.

    This is my local community:

    ahahahahaha

Did you really think you could convince me with a bunch of random economic charts?

Especially when you throw them at me, someone who is well versed in Australia's economy? 🤣

And did you really think I'd look at these guys in the video, the guys on the bottom of the rung and go, you know what, communism can solve your problems! 🤣

Pretty sure I'd get hit with a bong faster than I could blink

Good luck on your adventures as it's time for me to sleep, maybe try door knocking or something, might get a bit of a reality check yourself
