The new record by Exodus. Still they have the best guitar sound in thrash metal in my opinion.
However Exodus have done better than this collection of new songs. IMO it's a solid recording but it misses the last bit of spicyness. There's just one step missing to insanity. And this insanity is what makes brilliant Exodus albums special to me.
Yeah these guys are my favourite band of all time, not a single bad release imo... However this might just be my least favourite of theirs, just felt a little... Bland? Like none of the songs really accomplished anything. Don't get me wrong there were good riffs in there, but each song seemed to just meander around them without any urgency. You can also tell the vocals were designed with Zetro in mind, Dukes sounds out of place here. Not a fan of the mixing either. Sorry, Exodus, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed with this one. In places the songwriting even feels a little uninspired too.
Then again, it is far from a flop, or fail, it just simply doesn't bring much to the table. Will still be getting plenty of listens from me, and I already can't wait to hear what they come out with next. 🤘
Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted). While we understand it is subjective, if a moderator believes a song to stray too far from thrash, it will likely be locked. Please do not take this personally. Repeat offenders may see posts removed.
Please search before posting a song, do not repeat posts.
Friendly debate is encouraged.
When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters.
No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).

You nailed it.
