Not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve been running into this quite a bit.

My client conversations are spread across different messaging platforms, and sometimes important or more detailed discussions just get buried or overlooked.

It’s not even about the number of messages, it’s the fragmentation that makes it hard to keep track of everything in one flow.

Anyone else dealing with this? How are you keeping track of conversations without things slipping through?

There are apps that bridge to a bunch of different chat services so those messages are in one place. We dont have a specific reccomendation and besides, your choice will depend on which services are supported.

Heres a list of such apps were aware of in no particular order:

Edit: some more altwrnatives i remembered :p

  • Beeper
  • Self-hosting an xmpp or matrix instance or the like and bridging other services to it manually

This is helpful, thanks for sharing the list. I’ve come across a couple of these before but haven’t really committed to one. Have you personally tried any of them long-term?

Pidgin we have used the most and while is serves us well we're afraid most would find it finicky to set up and look outdated. We tried Beeper briefly but while it seemed to be decent it has seen no serious usage from us yet.
