I hope you're right, but I'm not so certain. Maybe I've seen too many dystopian depictions, but the fact they've got all the money, tech (including our forthcoming robot overlords), and roughly 40% (+/-10%, depending upon the moment) of the population willingly manipulated enough to back them to their own bitter end... It all just seems destined to come to a massively destructive end. So much needless pain and destruction all because the worst instincts of humanity cannot be satisfied nor mollified once they are ingrained in people's ways of thinking.
I'm glad some have hope. I've obviously lost mine over the decades of helplessly watching this bullshit unfold as history repeats itself yet again. We are still animals deep down, and it seems that's all the worst of us will ever allow us to be.
Money is fake. It's literally points. The difference betwern usd btc eddies and the shit in a box of hellokitty™monopoly™ is scale. It's literally the same shit.
The technology... It's all guns, and network based. Theirs at least. They mostly don't know how to operate it. They can't even drive in rough weather. It can be turned off, if you want to.
