Why is the search worse?

I think there was a plasma desktop version that changed how the search works. Ever since this happened, the results that really matter are not being displayed first, which makes the navigation slower and counterintuitive.
I'm not the one complaining, Mr "SKG is trash". I have a preference, but have no need for changes nor am I saying something's wrong.
