I agree...
They addressed all the pain points of the expedition except the most important one that is the loss of blueprints. And the workshop reset in my opinion could use some rework.
I have 70% of the BPs by spamming "Stella Montis naked man raids" and playing quite a lot. I can't imagine how annoying it must be if you play less and also dont do raids dedicated exclusively to finding BPs.
For now I dont plan to do the second expedition but will still try to prepare it in time just in case I change my mind. The added stash space is somehow the most attractive aspect of the expedition on the long run. The skill points are cool too but certainly not that important especially with the new system that let's you get them later.
All in all I think the devs desperately want people to do expeditions but as long as the BP grind will be a thing it will be a difficult proposition.
For example, I dont have the medium and heavy gun parts blueprints. I found probably 10 deadline BPs and 3 aphelion BPs.
I just want them to add my idea of the "Spectrometer analysis" workshop where you can "sacrifice" items to eventually reconstruct the blueprint. As an added bonus it will "remove" a lot of items in the game which is kind of the point of the wipe/expedition. I think it would also significantly reduce the RNG for blueprints and remove a bit of the edge of the expedition. I wish they would implement something like that sooner or latter. I don't want more Bettina blueprints Embark, thank you.
PS : Also the time between expeditions is too short. Give use 4 months to complete it !
I dont really have time to run continuous BP runs, since the last expedition I have anvil and renegade BPs and that is it. I just want to be able to make fucking guns and have options with what I run aside from what I physically find.
To be honest it has put me off of playing entirely as I have no options to the point I haven't played barely any in the last two weeks.
I find solace in the new matchmaking and the more PvE lobbies I end up in. Weapons don't matter as much if you stick to killing Arcs. Well as long as you got some crucial BPs that are often included in quest rewards.
Also, you can be an absolute menace with just a stitcher and a ferro but i understand it gets repetitive quickly.
I agree, I love the friendly PvE focused lobbies and it is entirely viable to play with what I have but I haven't even had chance to try half of the guns so it has grown very repetitive.
