So, it has been going on for 2 days already, and I had completely forgotten about it.

I guess the position so early in the year doesn't help the visibility of this already less-visible discipline.

Something I don't understand is that I thought that, this year, it should have been part of the Super European Championship, where all cycling disciplines are gathered. It was in 2022 that Viviani won gold at the Elimination track race in the evening, after having ridden more than 200 km in the road race in the afternoon and finished 7^th^!

While the 'Super' event can look rather packed, in my opinion the World version of it, in Glasgow 2 or 3 years ago, gave a much better visibility overall.

Is it (somewhat) shown on free-access Danish TV channels?

Championships are occasionally shown on public broadcaster TV (DR, Danmarks Radio) - but most of the time you have to rely on Eurosport/Discovery/HBO Max - but that's the same with road racing. Both road and track cycling features prominently in the news, though, which is of course because Denmark does pretty well in both sports.
