This was on one of those "drive by" AskLemmys where a new user posts a juicy question, then after a couple hours they delete the topic and their account. I don't have any specific memories of the early internet but I do remember DOS on the family computer. Having to remember the paths to run the shareware programs we wanted to run on a floppy
