If they keep coming back, then they're living somewhere you're not aware of. I'm personally anti-exterminator, but this is a situation that absolutely calls for professional help. Vacuuming will never be sufficient

We got rid of ours by removing upholstered beds and switching from carpet to hardwood. All fabrics stored in the affected area went through the dryer before we stored it elsewhere. Never saw them again.
