Depends on the usecase (how far away your eyes are) and how big the display is (again, how far away). TV is far away, has ideally 50 to 70" but low dpi. Computer display is good around 30 to 40" (would need to move your head otherwise, wasted money), maxes out at around 4k. Notebook 10 to 20", high dpi, 2k is good enough. While a phone has very high dpi, but 5 to 7" and around 1k resolution.
