As person that takes Independent & Left political shows at least 2-hrs. a day, every day & takes my personal health extremely serious…

Nearly every single participant in the parade threw tons of candy to as many children as they could. Most of the people of the parade route & surrounding areas of Homestead are poor & racial minorities. So these participating in the rodeo parade people are throwing unhealthy treats to children of people, who I can assume do not get enough healthy food. Would it not be better if they walk around & handed every parent at least one-piece of paper that grants them a free & a healthy meal, for their family? Talk about truly uncaring Capital elitism in The Capital (USA) of Capitalist World!

yeah not many rodeos in the city and I think when there is they are at big expo centers and there is not anything outside of those centers. I was kinda guessing it was something like this. I have never been to a rodeo but have a general idea of what it is and then I know what a parade is so makes sense. I asked just in case it was some lingo I was unaware of.

Where do you live? What city? Okay, I cannot remember ever attending The Homestead Rodeo or any other, but my parents could have taken my as a super elementary student. I know rodeos by ads & movie ‘Buck’ (SP?; I highly recommend, documentary of the horse whisper of multiple years Rodeo Champions).

im in the greater chicago area. Im pretty sure if I saw a movie thats basis was a rodeo I would go. pass. I did see bronco billy though.

I wonder does it have to do with the area’s Demographics.

I hear you, believe me, as 2-decade activist against the city’s rodeo, but he did it the right way. Have you seen the movie ‘The Horse Whisper”? It’s version of a cowboy & treatment of horses turned on it’s head. Both are not perfect, but I doubt you have same standards my strict ones when comes to Other Beings & entertainment. I have never seen ‘Bronco Billy’ sounds like a movie I would never watch.

its eastwood from I would say the 70's but it was 80 I think when it came out but had more a feel of movies from the decade before. it was funny but by no means a look behind the industry or anything and im not even sure it was a rodeo or a kind of circus or what. I mean I have a vague idea of rodeos and bull fighting and such and im not really motivated to look further. In this day and age there are so many sources of diversion I don't see the point of these things. Usually a culture type thing is brought up but like at some point in history some cultures had human sacrifice. So I mean thats a cultural thing.

AWESOME, when I in debate or hopefully friendly discussion about rodeos & The Homestead Rodeo, I will have to remember that one.

I doubt it wil work honestly with the type that are into these kind of things. The same folks will group cultures as civilized and uncivilized so will be like well sure but that is a "bad" culture but not like our good one.
