Who are the analogues of Röhm and Himmler? And who do you think will come out on top?

Edit: initially said Border Force instead of Border Patrol

I’m dead serious. And I’m happy to take the downvotes if I can learn what I’m missing.

I’m not exactly an expert on the subject so if it helps, what I think I know:

  • SA & SS were both “competing” paramilitary forces under Hitler’s command. During the night of the long knives, the SS “purged” the SA (under the guise of spoiling a coup) to consolidate power.

  • ICE & Border Force are two separate agencies controlled by two separate countries separated by an ocean(US and UK).

Like - what is the parallel? Or is there another agency in the US named Border Force I’m unaware of?

I'm guessing they meant "Border Patrol" which focuses on immigration attempts at the border and points of entry (including near international airports, so basically 2/3rds of the US). ICE, on the other hand, focuses on immigration violations in the interior of the US.

Because of the wide berth of the USBP and similar enforcement goals and mechanisms, for 2/3rds of the US population the USBP and ICE may as well be identical orgs.

Well if that’s the case it makes somewhat more sense, but like you suggest, they are both agencies under the Department of Homeland Security.
