Yeah, It is indeed out of focus. (I'm a newbie. )

I used an EOS Kiss X5 DSLR (it's a bit old) and a 55-250mm lens (400mm equivalent). A tripod is used but without star tracker.

1" shutter, F5.6, ISO6400 56 pics stacked.

I would try going for it again with a bit less zoom in perhaps, about 500 frames for stacking and I'd keep the ISO at or below 3200 for an older camera, but 6400 is fine.

Make sure to save in RAW and lock the white balance.

As for better focusing, I found a 3D printing service near me and had them print me a Bahtinov mask for a couple of bucks, there's a website that designs one for you and gives you a 3D printable file. You can also order one from Amazon for about 10 USD, generally pretty cheap.
