I'm kinda on the pro-ship side considering the rampant puritanism that anti-shippers have shown, but I'm just asking to check my own biases.
Also, this place does have a lot of libs, so keep that in mind.

I always assumed it meant someone who advocates for a romantic relationship between two fictional characters, or makes fanfic of it. For example "shipping" Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 with Aerith or shipping him with Tifa.
That is correct. Or they ship them for fun.
So a typical online nonsense. Sorry if I sound harsh but touch some grass. Get outside and protest nazis in the streets instead of staying inside and chatting with some basement dwellers about some fictional perversions. reddit is a shithole and is designed to eat your time so you dont do anything else, same as consumerism as a distraction from politics
How in the hell do you expect me to go outside when I have barely any life skills and can't even muster up the willpower to do so?
And many of us do touch grass. Many of us also have free time. If they think we're too into shipping and fandom stuff they should see Xiaohongshu.
