I can totally imagine that this happened somewhere because of today’s problem with logi options +.
I use a mouse that doesn't require anything beyond the generic USB HID driver that comes with Linux in the first place.
(Okay, okay, I could also use OpenRGB if I wanted to control the lights. But still, it uses fuck-all software provided by the manufacturer.)
