Hello all, looking for a good autotiling window manager that is wayland based but is NOT hyprland. Sway seems to be an option but I don't really want to install a plugin to make it autotile... Anyway, does anybody else have any other suggestions?

I do recommend sway if you don't find an alternative, it works really well. But yeah, no auto-tiling by default.
Can I ask why are you against Hyprland ?

EDIT: The arch wiki has a list

Thought it was common knowledge at this point...

Creator of hyperland:

[A trans person] joined the Discord server and made a big deal out of their pronouns [..] because they put their pronouns in their nickname and made a big deal out of them because people were referring to them as “he” [misgendering them], which, on the Internet, let’s be real, is the default. And so, one of the moderators changed the pronouns in their nickname to “who/cares”. […] Let’s be real, this isn’t like, calling someone the N-word or something.

Was this an isolated incident? Did it have consequences later on? Was the mod removed from the Discord?

Could you provide a link to the source you copied this from?

The Sway website only links to an IRC chat, not Discord. https://swaywm.org/

Same in the official subreddit. https://old.reddit.com/r/swaywm/comments/1fk968u/sway_discord_or_matrix_or_irc_server/ Only IRC, no Discord.

Found the link you got this from https://drewdevault.com/2023/09/17/Hyprland-toxicity.html

It doesn’t mention Sway.

The reaction to this incident were a new code of conduct, new mods, apologies, and more. https://blog.vaxry.net/articles/2023-hyprlandCommunityChanges
