Black defends with Qf8. The 2 move checkmate is recognizing that black is in zugzwang and dropping the bishop back to a1 where h1 queen can defend. Black can then only push h pawn (or Rxa8 > Qxa8 | Qxa1 > Qxa1), and it's taken by white queen for checkmate.
