OK can you explain the steps to me like you're talking to your grandma? I want to make my workout video play on the telly, there isn't a casting option so would Bluetooth work? Alternatively I'll play my tunes on it

"Casting" is a very specific term used for using a network to send audio or video to a device like a TV or Stereo.
Casting over Bluetooth is not a thing, but Bluetooth audio is a thing. That should help in the future to know that if you mean video, you need a network.
So first steps if you're staying in a guest house:
If it doesn't show the cast button, perhaps the TV isn't capable. You may want to search whatever the model or brand of TV it is and find guides to using whatever casting solution they have.
