fun fact, during the 08 crash, by 09 a shit ton of people trying joining the military because of the poor economic prospects(this aside from thier usual targets like poor rural red areas, or middle or lowincome pocs), and alot of them were getting rejected, because theres too many trying to join and then obama was trying to downsize the military, reducing involvement overseas. (i was following a forum that was discussing about people joining(the mods/owners have direct knowledge waiver system(medical issues, financial, criminal that would reject you or approve you). it was pretty dicey until trumps first term, he sorta reverse the trend, and people were joining again more easily(unless your condition has been in where the military have never accepted a enlistee with that condition, people still tried though), i was surprised people with previous treated/'cured' cancers tried to join.
