Shark skin is the complete fucking opposite of smooth, wtf are you guys talking about? It's basically millions of tiny sharp teeth.
FFS, it used to be used in woodworking in the past before we had sandpaper. That's how abrasive it is.
I was given to understand that was only if you were going "against the grain", so to speak. In other words, it's smooth if you're moving against it one way, rough if you're going the other.
I can't tell if you're being serious or referencing another post
