I had a coworker make the same argument about coffee. Either you drink it black or you dont actually like coffee.
Please insult him on all our behalfs ❤️
Or maybe all they’ve ever had is bad coffee which requires cream and/or sugar to mask the bitter, burned tasting crap someone burned or brewed improperly.

Idk who you are referring to in this reply. The coworker who says you have to drink coffee black is the one who is going to notice if it's burnt. So are you supporting them or against them?
Yeah I can see how that was confusing. I’m defending the person who doesn’t want to drink black coffee. Maybe all they’ve ever had is bad coffee, so they think they just don’t like black coffee since they’ve always had to mask the taste with cream and/or sugar.
But what if they think hot coffee is the best way to improve a cup with a bit of sugar and cream in it? Wouldn't that imply they do like coffee at least in some way?
