There are admittedly some downsides; in addition to passengers, opossums may well carry rabies, which could conceivably pose a setback.

At, there’s the petroleum industry getting their slant in. Anyone who knows anything about possums knows they are highly resistant to rabies. Sad that this publication regurgitates Big Oil’s talking points.

I love that in an Onion article about a 40 ft possum your focus is on protecting the marsupials from libel. That said, I came to the comments to refute the same sentence.
