I wouldn't go that far the source code is verifiable and while there have been some...very questionable architectural decisions (Making the modlog less transparent, making the voting system less robust etc), it's mostly all good.
We can never be truly sure that the version running on .ml is the same version built from the publicly available source or something like a private custom version
