As MAGA world rages about left-wing violence, the government appears to have removed a research paper showing contrary evidence.

Fascism can't sustain itself and always crumbles eventually. The short term strategy is harm reduction for vulnerable groups. The long term strategy is building up Democrats that have what it takes to take power and do what it takes to crush this movement.

Democrats

Why? So we can go back to the corporatist state that brought about MAGA in the first place? No. There's a majority that doesn't want money in politics in the first place, and the DNC and RNC are the prime examples. Democrats are controlled opposition and won't save us. Look at Chuck Schumer "let's try to do nothing and hope the problem goes away"

Yes, Democrats are controlled opposition. Guess what? America is controlled opposition. I have no idea why some people get fixated on replacing the party instead of replacing the people in the party. It's not like anyone has the first clue how to keep their new party from becoming the new controlled opposition. Nevermind not knowing how to build a 50 state organization, get past the two parties controlling ballot access, or a billion other things. Nevermind that third party strategies have been a complete and utter failure for over 100 years. There are so many reasons this is a bad idea.

The whole reason it's a duopoly is first past the post.

The real (nonviolent) solution that could actually work is first to pass RCV or similar systems locally and at the state level, then slowly that'll allow you to vote your conscience and you'll be better represented. Hopefully those reps would then pass laws to limit PACs, reduce partisan gerrymandering, etc. Of course that takes decades though, we don't have that long and need more immediate solutions.
