Since the federation the comment sections got so inflammatory. Literally everything gets turned into some political "capitalism bad" or "the west bad" discussion. It made Lemmy very annoying for me to use....

Hexbear federates with other servers for the sole purpose of brigading, trolling, and arguing in bad faith to "dunk on the libs" (Anyone with even slightly different viewpoints than them). This admin (pictured) makes no attempt to stop this besides server meta posts. Which, if the defed threads on Blahaj and lemm.ee proved anything, it's that none of the users care about that rule regardless. Another Hexbear user was quoted as saying "You can't argue with libs, we have to dunk on them".
