And the building the shot was fired from. The shooter started 200 yds from the victim, so it's not like they had to escape through a panicked crowd or anything. If there weren't any cops nearby and the shooter used a bit of planning and common-sense opsec (e.g. didn't carry a smart-phone, didn't share plans with anyone else) it's feasible to imagine them quickly ditching the gun nearby, maybe getting into a car and driving off. At that point they've blended in, unless/until further evidence is uncovered. permalink fedilink source parent
