"set up" implies intention, but there is none, this is simply the way things happen. just like water will flow downhill, never uphill.

No, the US is intentionally this bad. It’s purposefully set up this way because it serves the interests of the bourgeois. They’re not stupid. They’re capitalists. This is capitalism.
