How do you sort/store your cables? (feddit.uk)

Drawer full of compartments sorted by function?

Big ole bag of cables covered in wotsits?

Edit: Okay I was looking for ideas, but you guys are all shambles.

  • < 3m cables: I wrap them into a neat circle and put them in several cardboard boxes sorted by function/extension (e.g. USB-A, USB-C, Power+Kettle).
    • 1 extra box for miscellaneous types (e.g. a USB-C to USB-A would go in there)
    • All the boxes go into a single drawer.
  • For long cables: I wrap them into large neat circles and then they all go into the same tote bag hanging under the stairs

That photo is not mine, I was just looking for an example so that people would know what I'm talking about

I like that you have the length of wire written on the wire, that's a cool tip! I don't use tape, I just fold the cables in on themselves if that makes sense, but I appreciate the trick with keeping the sticky side away from the tape
