Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

Illegear Onyx V AMD Ryzen 7, GTX1650 with 16 RAM and 512GB Samsung SSD. Second hand.

Yes I am cheap.

Haha, my man. Hvt bought a new laptop since forever, got a fancy thinkpad z16 2nd hand recently. Had a bad batch of Illegear last time, mcm QA very hit or miss, warranty is long though but damn does it get frustrating.

just searched up Z16 beautiful laptop but it's more expensive than Carbon lol... is it supposed to sit above the Carbon? I thought that was their flagship

It is beautiful! They're the AMD equivalent of Carbon X1 Extreme(Intel only), the ones with discrete GPU. Was offered a real good deal, else would probably stay in the T series. The limited ports/ram/less than ideal touchpad are not doing it any favour, but I'm no Thinkpad purist(God bless the T480). God dang it, it's premium!

Really? The design is very different tho, bezel and chin are both smaller.

Oya, I meant that the Carbon is Intel's design only, the AMD equivalent is Z series. It's like those Zenbook Duo(dual screen, one on keyboard) is Intel only design.
