It makes me sad that the Pink Panther is what globally shaped Peter Sellers profile. He was such a remarkable talent, yet so often gone to waste. If you’re thinking about rewatching a Clouseau, maybe better check out Being There, it’s his last and greatest movie.
I may have to do that. As a child of the seventies and '80s. The Pink Panther movies were a staple. As well as the cartoon LOL. None of the new attempts at cartoons or movies has ever seemingly struck the same chord. It's probably all Nostalgia I'm sure. But yes both Nivens and sellers had much bigger filmographies
“Being There” is as valid now as it was then. I liked the book and the movie.
Sadly the book is still copy-written, but copies are easily bought, in libraries or found .
Sadly, I'm pretty sure that the last Peter Sellers movie released was "The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu".
Being There was brilliant, though.
