I grew up in the 90's and I remember nobody being okay with creepy 40 year old guys trying to hit on high school girls.
TBF āSeventeenā was a hit song in the very late 80ās. Not that Iām arguing that it was okay, but there was a skeevy undercurrent to American culture in that era.
"Classic rock" as a general category is so fucking rotten, there's a shocking amount of creeper shit. Also this top comment on the video:
