[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world [S] 2 points 1 year ago (1 child) In parts of Africa, monkeys are eaten. In parts of Asia, dog is eaten. Cat is generally not eaten in most cultures outside of spiritual and crisis contexts because it's stringy, apparently. Our tradition of not eating certain animals is just that - tradition. It's not anything deeper, and certainly not universal. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 year ago (1 child) this has nothing to do with whether there is a difference between dogs and cows, which there clearly is. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] PugJesus@lemmy.world [S] 2 points 1 year ago (1 child) permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com -1 points 1 year ago (1 child) this appears to be an appeal to ridicule. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago* (1 child) Your point about being housebroken was shown to be wrong.
